Goal-driven, clear, helpful, fun.
After a decade of teaching in higher education, I realized I was a far better administrator than teacher. I like to solve problems and build departments.
During my years as a dean, my colleagues and I built a science department and a visual arts department, each with faculty, facilities, majors, curriculum, students, a roll-out plan.
I then did the same kind of building for Black Forest Academy. Starting from almost nothing, I coordinated the birth and first steps of an advancement department focused on fundraising and alumni relations. In 4 years, we raised 4 million dollars.
Outside of work, I write books with my husband and obsess about food.
